The man behind the music…

As a 4 time Grammy Award winning producer and songwriter, it is no surprise Aaron W. Lindsey is also the recent co-recipient of BMI’s “Most Performed Song of The Year” award, Aaron W. Lindsey co-wrote the song “Best in Me” with Marvin Sapp. The song topped gospel charts and achieved historic crossover success, climbing from no. 78 to no. 14 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hot Songs Chart – the biggest jump for a gospel hit since Billboard began using Nielsen Sound Scan 18 years ago.

Aaron has been a writing and production partner of Israel Houghton’s for over 10 years. Israel’s acclaim as a praise and worship writer has crossed over from Gospel to CCM. Aaron and Israel have collaborated on songs like “You Hold My World,” and the chart topping “Not Forgotten” which earned RIAA Gold Certification.

Aaron has written and published over 200 songs (registered with BMI). He has over 20 songs in his current unshared catalog and at least 10 new titles which are either soon to be released or is in the process of being recorded – artists like Byron Cage, Israel Houghton, Marvin Sapp, Preashea Hilliard, William Murphy, Cece Winans, among others.

In 2012 Aaron signed a major publishing and administration agreement with the newly formed Universal CMG Publishing. He was perfect for the task because he has shown such marketability and leadership as a writer in his field.

Aaron is proving himself multifaceted in his ability to write for other genres as well. His song writing opportunities continue to expand and increase. In 2011, he scored a film cue (“Hope Saved My Life”) for the motion picture Unconditional. Already in 2012, Aaron is spearheading a project for Pro Athletes Outreach (PAO) where he has written and produced the first two songs for the compilation: a country song entitled “You Helped Me Believe”; and a pop song called “Finish Strong” (both controlled 100% by Lindsey). Calling upon the relationships of the professional athletes affiliated with the organization (“A” level mainstream artists such as Tim McGraw, Ryan Tedder and Adam Levine), PAO is preparing for a major release of these songs in conjunction with initiatives spotlighting high school, college, and professional coaches (Coaches Time Out).

Aaron is highly sought after as a musician, clinician on keyboard techniques, songwriting, production and worship leading. He entertains many more opportunities to speak annually than he is able to oblige. He is highly respected as a mentor to musicians and worship leaders in the music industry.
